Workshop / BackShelves
BackShelves
Browse and restore backups from Backblaze B2, SFTP and local folders, down to a single table of a PostgreSQL archive.
- State
- On 16 Oct 2026 the last change is the 3 Oct commit that added table-level restore from PostgreSQL archives and local sources; its author uses it, but it has no signed release and S3 sources have not started. m
- Runs on
- macOS, built from source; no signed build
- Built with
- Rust and Tauri 2, React 19 and TypeScript; restores run the system PostgreSQL and MySQL tools
- Data
- Reads the backups you point it at; passwords go to the system keyring, with a plain file as fallback when the keyring fails
- Code
- Private repository
Known limits
- Choosing one table only works on PostgreSQL archives. m
- It has never been released; only macOS has been exercised. m
- Native drag-and-drop and a real mounted NAS are not yet tested, and S3 is missing. m
- Restores into a new database stay on the server until deleted by hand. m
